MISSION
The mission is to provide assistance to high school graduates from the public school system in Mexico. These students, recommended by their high school principals or students already receiving a Cadena de Ayuda scholarship , have demonstrated a great desire to continue their education, but they are from families that do not have the financial means to achieve that goal.
VISION
To be an organization that provides an opportunity for Mexican high school graduates to develop the socialization and academic skills necessary to find a satisfying job or career by means of a trade, technical, or university education.
This is achieved in one of two ways:
RESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP:
These scholarships are awarded to male students from rural areas who would then live in one of Cadena de Ayuda´s two houses with its corresponding privileges and responsibilities. In addition to room and board, they are offered computer access and moral support and guidance to become accustomed to urban life and a rigorous university academic environment. These students are expected to pay their tuition expenses. Students can sometimes continue with the residential scholarship up to one semester after graduating depending on the availability of a room.
EXTERNAL SCHOLARSHIP
These scholarships are offered to male and female students from the city of Querétaro or the surrounding area who would live with their parents or relative in the city of Queretaro. This scholarship could include tuition in a public university, text books, conference expenses, and/or the use our computer room facilities, depending on the needs of each student.
There are currently 35 beneficiaries, 25 with the residencial scholarship and 10 with the external scholarship.
